about

This album is a mixture of dark ambient and Jarre-esque sequencer driven mood music, with each track segueing into each other. The sounds on this album mostly comes from just two sources; the Korg MS-20 Mini, and the Yamaha PSR-3. The MS-20 Mini produces the bulk of the drum, bass, and drone sounds, along with all the sequence patterns via the Arturia Beatstep Pro sequencer. The Yamaha PSR-3, a cheap home keyboard from the early 1990s, produces most of the melodic and pad sounds on the album, along with more of the drums. The sound of the PSR-3 was also filtered through the MS-20 mini. It is quite surprising how two such disparate sound sources - one pure analog and the other utilising Advanced Wave Memory technology - can complement each other so well.
