about

'Beyond The Galactic Glaciers' is an album of 1980s inspired electronic music, using a broad mixture of hardware and software synthesizers, incorporating analogue, virtual analogue, digital sounds, and frequent use of Linn Drum samples.

The album was originally intended as a collection of unrelated tracks before deciding that it would work better as a long-form piece, with each track segueing into one another with the aid of linking sound effect passages. As a result I have prepared two versions of the album; firstly with each track as separate entities, and secondly as a continuous mix . In some cases, the two versions of the individual tracks in each mix differ quite noticeably.

Instruments that appear on this album include: Kawai K4, Korg M1, Roland D-110, Studiologic Sledge. Alesis Ion, Korg Volca Keys, Yamaha P120, Korg Microstation, Yamaha DX7, Roland Juno 106, Camel Audio Chameleon, Arturia Mini V, Prophet V, Jupiter V, Juno V, Emulator V, CMI V, Matrix 12 V, G-Force M-Tron, Fender Telecaster, Roland V-Drums, Boss DR-660, Logic Pro X Retro Synth, Sampler, ES2, Sculpture, Alchemy.
