about

In many ways a sequel album to 'The Magician In Black', 'Heavy Logic' goes deeper into the distinctive sounds and rhythms of 1980s' Italo Disco, adding many of the characteristic synth aesthetics of late 1970s Cosmic Disco, and sprinkling on top the melody lines found in computer game music of the late 80s and early 90s.

All synth sounds are derived from analog patches created on the Logic Pro 'Retro Synth' VST, with copious amounts of FX shaping and morphing the sound, alongside drum samples from classic drum machines such as the Roland TR-909. The music is a blend of catchy melodies, driving rhythms, swift arpeggio patterns, overdriven and distorted synth riffs, and heavily detuned and lush string pads, combining together to make music that is both retro and modern in style.
