about

On a cold, dark and rainy night, in the middle of winter, a solitary caller made a fateful call to a local radio show that was dedicated to research into the paranormal. With abject terror etched into his voice which was further distorted by strange and unexplained interference on the phoneline, the unnamed caller desperately needed to unburden from himself to the world, the earth-shattering and dark secrets which he had just unearthed. What he stated on that stormy night, sent shivers down the spines of those running the late night show, and the few but dedicated listeners who were unfortunate enough to be tuning in on that particular evening. But before the caller was able to fully elucidate what he had encountered in his research, the call ended abruptly with a series of loud bleeps and clicks. Was it a bad connection, or was something more sinister going on? Had it all been an elaborate hoax or had the forces of darkness got to the caller before their secrets could be revealed to the public? For the hosts of the paranormal radio show, life would never be the same again.....

This double album is a collection of spooky and atmospheric tracks inspired by and dedicated to the many great paranormal radio shows, podcasts, and video channels out there in our bizarre and fascinating world. Despite the fact that the album was recorded in the middle of summer, a feeling of darkness and the coldness of winter still manages to somehow pervade the atmosphere of the tracks.

The whole album was produced using a Yamaha PSS-540, a cheap yet inspiring 1980s home keyboard which nevertheless has some limited FM sound editing abilities, and seems to have been tailor made for creating dark and ominous sonic landscapes. These sounds were futher manipulated courtesy of a Korg Kaoss Pad.
